Sheri’s story – Helping at the grocery store #bekind

Before I had even joined the Kindness Challenge I was picking up some groceries later in the evening. I was very tired and just wanted to be home. When I stepped in line the person in front of me had a VERY full cart that she had been pushing around the whole store while also using a wheelchair. I took one look at her and asked if it would be okay if I helped her unload her cart. She looked at me and said that she would be very grateful for the help. So I helped her then finished mine and went and bagged up her groceries as well as mine then I followed her outside and put them in her vehicle for her. I just felt such a sense of peace that I could actually help someone in that way. I feel that God put me in that store at that moment to help her make the trip just a little bit easier and to help me feel useful…two peas in a pod.

It really is true that being kind makes you feel better than the person who you help or maybe just as good.
